BRIEFThe customer required an interim solution to support the inauguration of the Jubail Industrial City during the construction and commissioning phases of its permanent district cooling plant. The Jubail Industrial College offers modern and relevant technical education to support the newly established Jubail Industrial City and the wider Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

SOLUTION

RSS offered the complete turnkey solution of a temporary cooling plant with associated temporary power to provide cooling directly to the network of the surrounding buildings. To deliver efficiencies similar to those expected of a permanent district cooling plant, RSS introduced new technology to enhance the performance of its cooling solutions, including:

  • Unique air-cooled chiller system selection and configuration, designed in-house in collaboration with the equipment manufacturers

  • Use of our upstream/downstream VFD chiller configuration to enhance fuel savings and overall cost efficiencies

  • Plant Performance Simulator for the ancillary temporary power generators

  • Installation of three headers to maintain independent and uninterrupted chilled water supplies to the buildings at site

SERVICE

The RSS team offered notable advantages over the market competition, including:

  • Unparalleled fuel efficiencies as RSS accurately mapped data with the assistance of the equipment manufacturers:

    • – kW (electrical) required per TR (tonnage) produced

    • – Liters (diesel fuel) required per TR (tonnage) produced

  • Low ΔT Syndrome corrections during the winter months

  • Dedicated Account Manager

  • 24/7 customer on-site support
