BRIEF

Our customer, one of the largest distributors of fast-moving consumer goods in Saudi Arabia, established one of its newest distribution facilities in the Mecca Region and required a temporary cooling solution to support its initial operations. Ambient temperatures in the Mecca Region can exceed 40°C (104°F) in the peak of the summer season. As the facility was intended to store fresh produce in addition to other retail products, an ambient temperature below 25°C (77°F) was required in order maintain the freshness of any perishable goods.

SOLUTION

RSS offered a full turnkey solution, which included 1,000TR air-cooled chiller systems, air handling units, pressurised water pumps and 2,000kVA temporary power generation.

We also provided the engineered solution of wild air cooling to maintain a set temperature and relative humidity within a building. Even in the GCC, where air temperatures may peak above 45°C (113°F), wild air applications can reduce the internal temperature of a building, warehouse or factory to 25-30°C (77-86°F) with a relatively humidity of less than 50%.

SERVICE

In comparison to other vendors, RSS offered the customer one point of contact for all their temporary requirements, including equipment and servicing. Due to our large fleet of rental equipment based throughout our GCC. depot locations, we were able to install and commission at the customer’s site within 72 hours, resulting in minimal delays to their daily operations.
